20 to 80 mm, Three Media Types
The print head takes 20 to 80 mm media: plain continuous paper, die-cut gap labels and black-mark stock. A sensor under the head reads the gap or the mark, so the printer stops on the label edge instead of guessing. Print width is 72 mm and the roll bay tops out at 43 mm diameter — tighter than a till printer's 80 mm, so rolls change more often. Tell us the stock before we ship and we set the sensor mode at the factory.
TSPL, ESC/POS, and a Fault Panel
The printer accepts TSPL for label layouts and ESC/POS for receipt text, so a handheld terminal that drives either protocol prints without new firmware — we hand over the Android and iOS SDKs for the pairing. A small TFT panel names the state you are in: paired, printing, out of paper, low battery, asleep, and which paper type is loaded. A blank label is nearly always the wrong stock or a flat cell, and the panel tells you which instead of leaving you to guess. Neither the LP9220 nor the LP9250 datasheet lists a status screen.
No IP Rating, and We Say So
Our datasheet for this model carries no IP rating and no drop height, so we do not print one on this page. Judge it as an indoor and in-vehicle printer: it handles a warehouse aisle, a shop floor and a delivery run, and it does not handle being left in the rain or dropped onto concrete. If your route needs a housing that survives water, tell us the environment and we quote a model that carries the rating in writing.
